Window Tinting

Window Tinting

Window tinting is a thin, multi-layered polyester material that incorporates the many different layers to control different properties, including Ultra-Violet (UV) light, heat, glare and privacy. Window film comes in a variety of performance levels and shades.

The many benefits of window film include eye comfort, UV protection, aesthetics and increased safety, privacy and energy savings.

The amount of time before your new tint will be totally dry is determined by the amount of sunlight it gets. If its cloudy and overcast outside, it will take longer, if its hot and sunny, then the film dries very quickly. This time frame can range from 2 days up to 2 weeks.

Steps

Steps

Make sure you use shampoo and water or a specified glass cleaner.
Before you cut use your measuring tape to measure the surfaces that you will be tinting.
You can cut the tinting into the size that you measured for each individual window.
Next you will want to spray the application solution onto the glass and remove the adhesive backing of the film. Make sure the sticky part is facing the window.
Take your hand squeegee and smooth out any bubbles and creases. Use your spray bottle full of hot water to spray on the glass to make it easier for your squeegee to smooth it out.
